LEADING in Chaos

A 2- days residential program for school leaders' transformation

Creating Schools of Global Standards

To regain its status as a global superpower in school education, India needs school leaders who aspire to transform their schools to exceed the prevalent global standards. They must take the responsibility of leading a transformation in their schools for which they need to create a multi-domain strategy with a detailed execution plan.

The NEP 2019, the NCF 2020, and the new structures of teacher education and education administration will result in new textbooks, pedagogies, and assessment models. School leaders who aspire for excellence will need to acquire new knowledge, competencies and skills to lead these changes in their schools.

The ICSL “Two-days residential school leaders’ transformation program”is designed to propel school leaders into the future.

A school is a complex chaotic system. Successful school leaders have to continuously acquire new knowledge, competencies, and skills to manage the chaos and lead their schools to a glorious future.

The School: A Complex Chaotic System

Chaos Theory, a branch of mathematics, defines a complex chaotic system as one whose future behavior is unpredictable and uncontrollable. In such systems, a minor change can cause drastically different results over a period of time.

“Weather” is a perfect example of a complex chaotic system. Even the most advanced weather forecasting systems fail to accurately predict the weather beyond 48 hours. And, no scientific power has ever been able to control the weather.

“Schools”are complex chaotic systems governed by several variables and parameters in the seven domains identified by ICSL as:
  1. School environment & culture
  2. Curriculum & Content
  3. Learning & Assessment
  4. People (Students, Parents, Teachers, Staff, Management & Community)
  5. Operations, Finance and Legal Issues
  6. Technology
  7. Leading Change

School leaders aspiring to achieve excellence must be competent and skilled to introduce and manage changes in these seven domains to produce glorious results.
